Sparebanken Vest appointed a new corporate management team in 2006 with the clear ambition of achieving a position in the market as the leading financial services group in Western Norway. Many milestones have been reached in recent years, but there are also more than enough challenges to be addressed in the years ahead. Stein Klakegg (b.1957)Managing Director since 9 January 2006. Graduated from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in 1982. Also holds qualifications in occupational psychology and management. Formerly with Rieber & Søn ASA and A/S Nevi, lastly as Group Director in Rieber & Søn ASA. Member of the board of Jordan. Jan Erik Kjerpeseth (b. 1971) Deputy Managing Director since 19 June 2006. Joined the bank in 1999. He is also responsible for business development, products, market and finances. Graduate in marketing from the Norwegian School of Marketing, and has an MBA from Herriot Watt University and an Executive MBA in Brand Management from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
