The board manages the bank’s activities. The board is responsible for ensuring that the funds at the bank’s disposal are managed in securely and expediently. The board must also ensure that the bank’s activities are organised in a satisfactory manner, and it is obliged to make sure that the bank’s bookkeeping and asset management are subject to adequate control.
The composition of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of nine members and four deputy members elected by the Supervisory Board.
The Chair and Deputy Chair are elected by the Supervisory Board in separate elections.
Two board members and two personal deputy members are elected by and from among the bank’s employees.
Only members of the Supervisory Board elected by the employees are entitled to nominate candidates for election as employee members and deputy members of the board.

Chairman of the Board
Trygve Bruvik
Chair and member of the board since 2008. Currently manages a family-owned property and investment company. Mr Bruvik was Managing Director/CEO of Vesta in the period 1994 to 2002. He currently holds directorships in DNO ASA (deputy chair), G.C. Rieber AS (deputy chair) and several smaller companies. Among other offices, he was previously chair of the main board of the Norwegian Financial Services Association and chair of the main board of the Norwegian Insurance Association. He has a degree in business economics from the Norwegian School of Management BI and an engineering degree from Bergen Engineering College.

Anne Kverneland Bogsnes
Director of the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Service (NAV) Hordaland. Deputy Chair and member of the board since May 2007. Previously chair and member of the bank’s control committee. Graduate of the Norwegian School of Management BI, followed by further relevant management training. Previously Managing Director of Helse Bergen HF, Haukeland University Hospital from 2002 to 2006, and Managing Director of Rolls-Royce Marine AS, Foundry – Bergen, where she also held other management positions. Broad board experience. Chair of the Board of the Harmonien Foundation and member of the board of Den Nationale Scene.

Øyvind Atle Langedal
Deputy Managing Director of Coast Center Base AS, Ågotnes. Member of the board since May 2007.
Graduate of the Bank Academy and has studied economics and management at NHHK. Head of management accounting/Deputy Managing Director of Coast Center Base AS since 1998. Also has previous experience from Økonomipartner Bergen AS, Rieber Skinn AS and Jebsens Rederi AS. Currently Chair of the Board of Vardø Barents Base AS and Maritime Waste Management AS, and is a member of the board of Sambygg AS, Kirkenesbase AS and Helgelandsbase Holding AS.
